In the middle of the arid desert, the Gadsisar Lake shimmers like a jewel. It’s actually a water conservation reservoir built circa 1400, by the then Maharaja of Jaisalmer. The Gadsisar Lake offers a fun boating experience. In the middle of the water and around its periphery, are clusters of beautifully-carved temples and shrines. The unique chatri-style domes of these temples stand out against the scenic backdrop.
